Characters from top to bottom, left to right: Guy Eldoon smiles while holding a bowl of ramen, which is exploding upwards. Wesley Stickler smugly holds a copy of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. Plum Kitaki glares you down while holding her broom-sword. Alita Tiala smiles impishly, with one hand splayed against Wocky Kitaki's chest; Wocky has one hand around Alita's shoulders and is staring you down menacingly. Winfred Kitaki stares into the middle distance. Klavier Gavin smiles knowingly down at Apollo Justice. Trucy Wright has Mr. Hat pulled out; she's making a damsel-ish expression of surprise, but one look at her eyes tells you she's acting. Apollo Justice stares you down with a determined expression. He has one finger extended, pointing at you. Ema Skye looks off to the side thoughtfully.

This was a piece I drew for a big open submission zine celebrating "The year of Apollo Justice (2026)"! I encourage you to look through the whole thing for yourself here. (I'll shout out the fantastic fic my friend wrote for the zine, too: the truth will out. by valdera.)

The white-red-black was my initial idea, but I pivoted to flat colour because I didn't want the piece to look "unfinished"... That, and White Klavier makes me sad. With the final product, I tried to emulate a faded movie poster, printed on cheap pulpy paper. I had "I Will Possess Your Heart" by Death Cab for Cutie stuck in my head while drawing this.
