Soren isn’t naive. Telling Ike how he felt wouldn’t make him love him, even out of pity, and saying anything would only serve to leave him vulnerable. He would rather keep Ike by his side than do anything to change what they have between them.
Ike’s back is just visible in the low light. If Soren puts his arm out, he can imagine how his palm would feel splayed out against it.
Kurth doesn’t see his sister again until late into the next day, where he finds her in the gardens under a gazebo. She’s holding her son, who is tugging the petals off a flower with a determined look on his face before tossing them on the ground.

Hirano doubled over in glee, his head crashing into Kagiura's chest before he could finish his sentence. Kagiura pointedly ignored the part of him that loved his fiancé's sharp, barking laughter, even when it was aimed at his bruising ego.

Ichinose presses his palms flat against his eyes. The soft click of the light switch and the shuffling sounds of Hirano getting into bed are overwhelmingly loud in the quiet of the room. It's sweet how Hirano worries like this, really. Ichinose wishes he was a little more reliable, so he wouldn't have to see that worried expression so often.
